You are very welcome. :) I first read about the stitch in descriptions of several embroidered coifs in the V&A. I had been looking everywhere for instructions myself until some friends working on the Plymouth Jacket project came back with directions. The directions helped immensely but everything became crystal clear when one of my friends shared this video on her blog. The video helped me so much I knew I wanted to share it with my readers as well! I'm so happy you found it helpful too. :) Please let me know how your coif goes. I'd love to see pictures of the project. :)

Thank you thank you thank you! I have been pondering an embroidered coif and I wanted to do THAT stitch on the seams, but I didn't know what it was called to search the internet for instructions. Whew! You just saved me from exploding my budget with a lot of embroidery books.

The fact that a lot of music was already transcribed for it was a big pro for the instrument. So far it has been a lot of fun. Now I just need to keep up with practicing regularly. :)
